PrimeCare Medical provides CASA Aviation Medical Examinations conducted by our accredited Designated Aviation Medical Examiner (DAME).

πŸ’° Fees

CASA Class 1 Medical – $250 For Commercial Pilots, Airline Transport Pilots, Multi-Crew Pilots and Flight Engineers.

CASA Class 2 Medical – $250 For Private Pilots and Commercial Balloon Pilots.

CASA Class 3 Medical – $250 For Air Traffic Controllers and Flight Service Officers.

Additional fees may apply for CASA-required investigations such as ECGs, audiograms, pathology tests, and specialist referrals.

πŸ“‹ Before Your Appointment

  • Complete and submit your CASA Medical Records System (MRS) questionnaire online.
  • Ensure CASA payment has been completed and submitted.
  • Bring your ARN (Aviation Reference Number).
  • Bring all prescription eyewear, including any spare glasses.
  • Allow approximately 45 minutes for your appointment.

🩺 CASA Class 1 Medicals

Class 1 Medicals are required for commercial and airline transport pilots and are generally valid for 12 months.

May include:

  • Medical examination
  • Audiogram
  • ECG
  • Blood tests (glucose and lipids)
  • Vision assessment referral (if required)

πŸ›©οΈ CASA Class 2 Medicals

For private pilots and recreational flying activities.

Generally valid for:

  • 4 years (under age 40)
  • 2 years (age 40 and over)

Usually requires a standard medical examination without additional routine investigations.


🎧 CASA Class 3 Medicals

For Air Traffic Controllers and Flight Service Officers.

Generally valid for 2 years.

May require additional investigations depending on CASA requirements and age.

The following ancillary tests may be required depending on your CASA medical class and age requirements:

⚠️ Fasting Requirements for Blood Tests

If your CASA medical requires blood tests, please fast for 8 hours before your appointment.

During the fasting period:

  • ❌ No food
  • ❌ No coffee, tea, juice, soft drinks, or other beverages

Fasting helps ensure accurate blood glucose and cholesterol results, as food and certain drinks can affect test outcomes.
